Greetings from Overgaard, Arizona, land of fantastic rock formations and great
weather. Spend your days mountain biking, hiking or enjoying the scenery, all from the doorstep of Bison Ranch.
Bison Ranch is located 56 miles from Payson from the west (35 miles from Show Low from the East). We advise that you shop in Payson, Holbrook or Show Low before driving to the resort as we only have a small country store in town.
This resort consists of 23 one- and two-bedroom units, with fully equipped kitchens, air conditioning and decks or terraces. ResortNet 2, wireless Internet service, is available in all units for a small fee.
Bison Ranch is happy to provide an outdoor pool, an outdoor children’s pool and an outdoor hot tub. Although the hot tub is open year round, please be aware that the outdoor pools are closed for the winter, Nov. 1 to Apr. 1. Other amenities include fitness center, volleyball court and recreation center.

Apache and Sitgreaves National Forests
Located in east-central Arizona, the Apache and Sitgreaves National Forests contain more than two million acres of mountainous terrain. The Sitgreaves National Forest boasts the Mogollon Rim and eight cold-water lakes. Named for the tribe that settled in the area, the Apache National Forest is home to the White Mountains of Arizona. Approx. 80 mi.

Kinishba Ruins
Explore the Kinishba Ruins, a 600-room ancestral Puebloan village located in the White Mountains that dates back to 1250 A.D. Kinishba was excavated and partially reconstructed from 1931 to 1939 by Dr. Byron Cummings of the University of Arizona. Open: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Mon.-Fri. Approx. 80 mi.

Petrified National Forest Park
Gaze at ancient petroglyphs and hike among petrified trees at the Petrified National Forest Park. Learn about the people who first occupied the area more than 2,000 years ago. Approx. 80 mi.
